Michael “Mikey” Tanha has always been a hands-on sort of person. Whether in his education, career in finance and wealth management, or now, as a leader within the hospitality industry, Mikey firmly believes that achieving the best results requires putting your employees in the best position to succeed.

Based in Los Angeles, Mikey serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of Noble 33, an environmentally-friendly hospitality firm that is dedicated to driving the hospitality industry toward sustainability. Currently, Noble 33 oversees the operations of Toca Madera, Casa Madera, Madera at the Treehouse, and Hotel Figueroa; restaurants that offer a modern take on cuisine while keeping environmental best-practices of sourcing, serving, and storing food at the forefront of their minds.

A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, Michael Tanha earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies in 2002. Shortly thereafter, he took the plunge into the financial realm and worked diligently to establish himself as a trusted advisor. Over the course of the next decade-plus, Mikey spent his time forming a solid network of professionals from every industry and walk of life, thus gaining exposure to a number of innovative ideas and business prospects throughout the years.

However, it was not until Tosh Berman, a friend of Mikey’s, encouraged him to step outside of his long-established comfort zone and pursue a career in the restaurant industry. After all, he possessed the sharp and entrepreneurial mindset such a fast-paced environment required, and his strategic acumen and understanding of business operations were well beyond his years.

Upon looking into the opportunity further, Michael Tanha felt the pull to take a leap of faith and join Tosh in building and expanding The Madera Group and Tocaya Organica. Since doing so in early 2018, he has not looked back. Instead, Mikey has woken up every day with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement to work with others, see projects come to fruition, and satisfy the company’s already on-fire customer base with meals that are made with a mission in mind.

All in all, Michael “Mikey” Tanha is dedicated to making an impact on the world around him, and he is thankful that his career offers a unique intersection of entrepreneurship and environmentalism, rather than forcing him to choose between the two. Throughout his tenure at The Madera Group, Mikey has felt the most accomplished while watching the company achieve new heights.
